ALLIANCE Financial Group Bhd, a Malaysian banking group, rose to its highest level in almost six weeks after profit in the third quarter ended December 31 doubled from a year earlier on lower bad-loan provisions and higher income from Islamic banking. The stock added 2.4 per cent to RM2.61 at 9.04 am local time in Kuala Lumpur trading, set for the highest close since January 4. – Bloomberg
